A simple story about the painful discovery of identity, skillfully performed and tastefully arranged. The result is quite simply a beautiful movie.
I like this movie, with its moments of sweetness, whimsy, and humour, but there’s a cold nugget of cynicism at its heart that keeps me from loving it.
This is just one of those happy movies, a two-hour drop of sunshine.
WALL-E and EVE may be robots, and thus free from sexual desire, but they still experience a full range of human emotions and express those emotions in very human ways.
