One Year of Ace Film Reviews

Today marks one year since the launch of Ace Film Reviews. When I started the project, I wasn’t sure how long I’d be able to keep it up, or if I could generate enough content for a weekly blog. As of today, I’ve published fifty-two reviews and about a dozen additional articles. I’m proud of what I’ve done so far.

In terms of readership, things have been a bit up and down. This blog has seen bursts of interest and long spells of obscurity. I want to thank all my followers, those who have sent in suggestions, and everyone who had “liked”, shared, and commented on my posts. Every bit of encouragement has helped, and it’s been enough to make me think this project might not be a complete waste of time.

I started this blog with the goal of publishing one review every week for a year. I’ve achieved that goal, though not without some difficulty. When I began, I was unemployed; I now have a full-time job taking up a lot of my time. I also have other projects I’d like to try, things I haven’t had time for recently. This has led to a decision: I’m going to continue Ace Film Reviews for at least another year, but I’m also going to switch from weekly to bi-weekly reviews. I’m still going to publish regularly, just not as often. And I’m still going to write occasional extras and participate in the Carnival of Aces – in fact, I’m hosting the Carnival for January!

As a way of summing up the year, here are some Best Of lists. First, here are the posts that received the most views last year:
